However, I've refrain from putting up anything since I created this place as I wanted the first post to be of a special time in my life.
And I am very happy to announce that on the 26th February 2008, I turn 27 years old and I am officially married to Desmond Lim Yew Seng.
After much deliberation, we've decided on a pair of stainless steel rings from J.Bovier. We'll settle for the actual (expensive) ones during our ceremony later.
My bouquet of lilies that Des gave me.I specifically asked for a small hand bouquet as I didnt want the normal big ones as I feel that it would be too troublesome to take.
My dress - a deep purple low cut knee length dress. It wasn't new, though I did thought of getting a new one. But given the fact that I'm not dress person, I rumaged my wardrobe and found a green dress actually. I deliberated for sometime and finally decided that I will wear my purple dress two days before the registration.
Although there were more than 10 couples scheduled to register on the same day, we were promptly ushered into the registration room soon after we arrived.
The person who officiated the ceremony was very nice, though her diction was a bit too well rehearsed, not that I'm complaining. She did a double take on Des's picture in his IC though, cause apparently she is supposed to check whether the IC and the person is the same, and apparently Des grown so big (put on weight) that he doesnt look the same anymore :P
After signing three pieces of paper, its the I Do, You Do time.
And then we were told to exchange rings. Being stupid, I automatically reached for my ring until Des corrected me and gave me his ring instead. Gettit???
After she announced us husband and wife, we sealed it with a kiss.
